The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) theme this year is "Robots Meet Culture". Diving into "The Future of Robots" is a journey into the unknown, where innovation meets the challenges of tomorrow. From robots reshaping our future cities, to robots driving the expansion of life across the universe and to AI-enabled robots improving all aspects of our life. The possibilities are endless.
WRO Jamaica will be offering 2 categories to compete in for 2026:
- Robomissions
- Future Innovators.
Robomissions is the category we have offered since 2018 and requires teams to build and program a LEGO robot that has 2 minutes to solve challenges on a field. U13 Teams (Elementary) will participate in a 1-day event and have 5 chances to achieve their highest score. No surprise rules will be applied but a Technical summary will be required for each team. Guided by the General Rules of RoboMissions, teams can use ANY robotics hardware kit ANY software platform. Also see the Game Rules.
WRO Jamaica will also offer the Future Innovators category for U13 (Elementary). In this category, students get the opportunity to develop and present a robotic solution to a real-world problem. Guided by the General Rules for Future Innovators and the Season Challenge, teams can use ANY robotics hardware kit ANY software platform according and ANY additional materials. The Future Innovators category will also be 1-day event where projects will be displayed and judged at their booths. Based on the Team information, judging criteria are based on 3 areas:
- Project & Innovation

- Presentation & Team Spirit
All teams MUST submit a printed project report and video.
